Chur Burger, Rooty Hills

All right, Foodie chatter does this community day at work. We go up to the Food Bank and help pack Christmas hampers for the poor, and needful people, who would be getting these boxes from charities. 

After an intense day of packing boxes, we leave the venue at about 2 and go for lunch to the Rooty Hills RSL. To begin with the club is very trendy and seems to be newly renovated. There is an outlet of Chur burger there and that’s what our destination was today for the grub. 

The menu is simple and there is beef burgers and chicken burgers. Among the beef burgers, there were the regular cheese burger, the spicy version with jalapeno’s. the one that catches my eyes is the Ol’Blue Burger, which has blue cheese, smoky barbecue, onion rings and an aged cheddar cheese sauce.  

There was a chur’s Mac daddy burger, which seemed to be interesting to a lot of my friends. For me the other burger which made it to the top 2 and gave a strong fight to confuse me and take a lot of time in making up my mind was the CFC Burger, which had the buttermilk fried chicken burger with aioli, Asian styled pickled cucumber and a chur’s special chilly sauce. 

Well, eventually I ended up getting the ol Blue, and with an extra crispy bacon. The service was quick and the burger was well, what do I say. Yum. The strong blue cheese along with the aged cheddar sauce and the bacon and the beef pattie- just connected the dots for me. I loved the burger. I fact having onion rings in the burger were different for me. But all in all I liked the burger. The burger bun was soft and perfectly baked. And the presentation like a tower, made me fall in love at first sight.
